About Cartavi

What is Cartavi?

Cartavi is web-based software that lets you securely share documents with everyone involved in the process of buying or selling residential real estate. Cartavi gives you one place to store, access and share all your transaction documents, from your desk or on the go. Cartavi is a hosted application (nothing to install) which you can access from anywhere you have an internet connection and a supported browser (Firefox, Safari, Chrome and Internet Explorer 7 or later). And for the mobile experience, please download our free iPhone app.

How do you say it?

Our name is pronounced "carta-vee". It's "new Latin" based on the words "carta" which means document and "vi" which comes from the word "vita" for life. Our thoughts behind the name of our company and app was to create a word that stood for a place where your documents lived.

Who uses Cartavi?

Buying and selling residential real estate is a document intensive process, but Cartavi makes it easier. Everyone involved in the transaction can benefit from using Cartavi. Our current users include independent agents, brokers and sales associates, attorneys, home inspectors, lending officers and title agents.

Are my documents secure?

The integrity of your data is a very important to us and we have taken great measure in making sure our systems and servers keep your documents well protected. We use bank-level security standards and technology. Your documents are protected by encryption while they are moving between your computer and our servers, and while they are stored. This means that even if a hacker were able to gain access to our environment your documents would be completely useless as the information would be unreadable. Finally, your data is kept safe and secure on multiple servers located in different parts of the country which are backed up nightly. In the event of a disaster, we will be able to fully recover any data that may be lost from our backup servers.

Account Options

How much does Cartavi cost?

We have four service plans to choose from, starting with a Free Plan that lets you experience Cartavi without any obligation. With our Free Plan, you can create and manage up to three transactions of your own, and be an active participant in an unlimited number of transactions by invitation from other Cartavi users. If you decide Cartavi is right for you, please consider upgrading to one our paid plans which allows you to create up to 50 Transaction Rooms, and gives you access to extra features like outbound faxing straight from the app or your iPhone.

How do I upgrade?

Upgrading your plan is easy, just look for the upgrade banner on the homepage, or visit our website for information.

Does my client need an account in order to use Cartavi?

No, your clients or other parties to your transaction do not need to have a registered account to benefit from using Cartavi. You can share documents and have other parties upload documents to your Transaction Rooms via email that directs them to secure web pages within your account.

Mobile Apps

How do I get the iPhone app?

The free mobile version of Cartavi is available for the iPhone 3GS and 4. Visit the iTunes App Store to download it today.

Do I need to create another account to use the iPhone app?

No, just install the app on your iPhone and provide your current Cartavi username and password to access your existing account.

Do you plan to make Cartavi for Android too?

Yes. We are currently working on an Android version of Cartavi which should be available later this year. If you would like to be notified about the release please let us know by signing up for our email notifications.
